The Diet That Really Worked (But Not How You’d Think)

A woman went to her doctor for a check-up. The scale didn’t lie—she had gained a few more pounds than expected.

The doctor looked thoughtful and said,
“Here’s what I want you to do: Eat normally for two days, then skip the third day completely. Repeat this pattern for two weeks. I guarantee you’ll lose at least five pounds.”

She nodded and promised to follow the plan exactly.

Two weeks later, she returned—noticeably thinner, hair a little messy, and eyes slightly wild.

The doctor looked shocked.
“Wow! You’ve lost over ten pounds! That’s incredible! Did you follow the diet?”

She sighed and replied,
“Yes, but I thought I was going to die…”

The doctor raised an eyebrow. “From hunger?”

“No,” she said.
“From all that skipping!”

😄 Moral of the story: Always read between the lines… or between the meals!
