When seven-year-old Lily burst through the front door after school, she was practically vibrating with excitement.
“Mom! Guess what?! We learned how to make BABIES today!”
Her mom froze mid-step.
Wait. WHAT?!
Trying to stay calm, she asked carefully, “Oh? Really? And… how do you make babies?”
Lily rolled her eyes like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“It’s super easy.”
Mom braced herself.
Then Lily proudly announced:
“You just drop the ‘Y’ and add ‘I-E-S.’ BABIES!”
Mom nearly collapsed from relief — and uncontrollable laughter.
All that panic… over a spelling lesson.
